This estrace medication is used to treat estrogen. Your doctor has ordered the drug estrace/primogyn to help treat your estrogen illness. This estrace medication may be prescribed for other uses; ask your doctor or pharmacist for more estrace information

Estrace precautions

Tell your doctor your complete medical history especially if you have high blood pressure, an over-active thyroid, glaucoma, diabetes or emotional problems. Consult with your doctor if you think you are pregnant or before breast-feeding. estrace can be habit forming and must be used with caution. Alcohol can increase unwanted side effects of dizziness. Limit alcohol use. This drug is not recommended for use in children. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for further information.

Estrace Drug interactions

Inform your doctor about all the medicines you use, (prescription and nonprescription) especially if you take high blood pressure medicine or MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) or any other estrogen medicine. Avoid "stimulant" drugs that may increase your heart rate such as decongestants or caffeine. Decongestants are commonly found in over-the-counter cough and cold medicine.

Estrace dosage and missed doses of estrace

If you miss a dose of estrace, do not double the next dose. Instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Take the missed estrace dose as soon as you remember it. However, if it is almost time for the next estrace dose, skip the missed Casodex dose and continue your regular Casodex dosing schedule. Do not take a double primogyn dose to make up for a missed one.
